Peace

Let’s describe the perfect world. How can we name something where every one wins? Well I think we can call it peace, is peace a fantasy or is it possible? What can we do to contribute to this good cause? Well that is the topic of this essay to mention different ways to help peace to grow at the whole world.

Peace describes a society or a relationship that is operating harmoniously and without violent conflict. Peace is commonly understood as the absence of hostility or the existence of healthy or newly healed interpersonal or international relationships, safety in matters of social or economic welfare, the acknowledgment of equality, and fairness in political relationships. In international relations, peacetime is the absence of any war or conflict. (Wikipedia)

I think that peace is a fantasy created by us. I consider that humans are animals and that suggest that we have to fight when something is affecting us. Even thought the answer is not war. We have to learn how to argue and make agreements without violence. Obviously to get some point near peace weapons must disappear.

There are nations that make wars only for money in other word to continue being the world powers. I am very proud of Costa Rica because is a country without army and that is an example and this must be follow by every nations of the world.

In summary I think that the world peace is impossible but we must insist in little things that can help to make the world a better place. For me the phrase of “make love not war” is very helpful for the world. We have to remember that we all deserve the same rights and that we have a god that sees all. In weapons and war nobody wins and that is a fact.

Terrorism

Terrorism can be defined as "the deliberate creation of fear to bring out political change." (dictionary.com)

Is impressionist how terrorism is so normal in the present, but what terrorism? Well we can say that terrorism is the act of crime with political and religious points in between. Is a fact that terrorism affects all of us.

Terrorism is a topic in which there are lots of factors participating, most of the times there are weapons include but the most important thing for me are the people in between because the effects on them are difficult to cure.

There are two things that complete terrorism and they are political this one includes money another part of terrorism is religious points of view religion make promises that we are no t sure if they are true event ought unfortunately people let their beliefs kill others.

The perfect example for terrorism is the air planes that crash at the twin towers because this case includes political, religious points of view and is clear that in this affect the whole country.

In summary terrorism is very complex, is hard to find an effective method to fight against it, but creating safes programs in public places is the best option for fight against it, and we will be able to live more secure.

Globalization

Globalization is the topic of the present. We can see globalization everywhere in magazines, television, radio, news papers, advertising, etc .but not all is so simple, globalization is more complex than we think, there are different kinds of globalization all of them have consequences.

In the causes of globalization we can mention the modern communication technology for example: internet, TV, and telephone. Another cause of this is the evolution in transport mechanisms. Globalization gives us very big opportunities in other countries for jobs and grows in an economic way in order to have a better life style.

Globalization has a positive side here we can consider marketing that make big companies low their prices in order to sell more as advertising technique. To have a more clear idea read these arguments.

• Globalization has created the concept of outsourcing. Work such as software development, customer support, marketing, accounting and insurance is outsourced to developing countries like India. So the company that outsourced the work enjoys the benefit of lower costs because the wages in developing countries is far lower than that of developed countries. The workers in the developing countries get employment. Developing countries get access to the latest technology.

• Increased competition forces companies to lower prices. This benefits the end consumers.

• Increased media coverage draws the attention of the world to human right violations. This leads to improvement in human rights.

But not all is good, in globalization unfortunately there are also negative effects the most remarkable are the loss of jobs this happens when is cheaper for a company to invest in other countries that have lower out source, so people get fire for these reason. This happens in India were prisons and children work hard for goods and to the company is very cheap again these is exploitation.

In summary we can’t tell if globalization is good or bad because it has both. All we can said is that is the process of intensification of economic, political, and cultural conditions are connect in a global system.

Ethnic conflicts

Ethnic problems are in my opinion are the oldest conflicts in history, this is maybe because humans are afraid to what they don’t know in other word we are afraid to everything that is unusual or different.

One of the arguments that can provoke these ethnic wars faster is the different religions around the world. For example for example there are Catholics, Buddhists, Jews, and other. Some of them believe in different gods and other in the same one but in a very different way.

Is a fact that these wars are stupid like all of them. In the present it seems that the racism is lower but we can still see racism.

In the movie that we saw in class “The Pianist” is painful to see how conflicts between different ethnics can kill a very huge number of Jews and make it seem to be perfectly normal, that scares me a lot.

Humans must understand that the color, our believes, the languages are not important and that we have to consider that we are all equal and that we live in the same planet and we have to learn to share it because this will never change.

Globalization of diseases

Diseases are very dangerous and the problem with this variety of viruses is that the majority has the capacity to spread easily. This is way the governments needs a safety program in case a disease comes to our countries.

The viruses can spread by dust or water, particles for example a sneeze, in water like in the toilet water, by direct contact, and via the blood, for example HIV. That’s why we have to be careful and very clean all the time.

The diseases are organism that affects the body, the problem with the diseases is that if they have the ideal conditions, they spread very easy and we can see this around the world. Now is very easy to a virus to spread because of the trains and airplanes and all the human transportation.

To determinate if you have a disease you have to put attention to the symptoms. In that way you go to the doctor and he can tell you what you have and give you the correspondent medicine.

All we can do to prevent the diseases and its globalization is to be careful and extremely clean and obey the doctor precautions; other way to avoid this problem is that the governments put safety rules or better programs.

migration

What is migration?
Well, migration is any displacement of the population that is produced from a place of origin to another destination that brings with it another residence. In the present we can see, migration in any part of the planet for different reasons like jobs, or better standard of live.

this is a topic in which we can consider a lot of factors but the major one is the lack of economic issues we can see this tendency en Costa Rica. Nicaraguan people use to come to Costa Rica to work. In my opinion “ticos” are very xenophobic; the reason of this maybe is the Nicaraguan in an unfair form some stereotypes that some people consider true.

The biggest reason for Nicaraguan to come to Costa Rica is the higher standard of living. In Nicaragua, 50% of people live below the poverty line, while just over the border in Costa Rica the percentage of people living below the poverty line is only 18%.

I think we do not have to believe in this stereotypes because we can`t know someone without talk them at all. And in my opinion is kind of immature to jog them. The impacts of migrations surround all the capacity of jobs and the recourses in an indirect way. But with a good system of residence I don`t see why to take away the chance to live here.

I think that we need to lead these stereotypes apart and meet them for who they really are and stop jogging them, also the government of Costa Rica needs to implement a improvements system of migration to control the laws of migration in a more efficient way.

causes of polverty and possibles solutions

Poverty is a reality since a lot of years before, in fact I think that poverty is something that always has exist. If you look in the dictionary the definition of poverty may be you will find: poverty is the lack of issues. I think that there is something missing to this sentence because poverty includes extreme poverty and extreme poverty is the lack of shelter, bad alimentation, low or nothing of access to education, powerless, no human recourses like water for example and the most common one overpopulation.

There are lots of causes of poverty but the most significant are the wars, debts between countries, natural disasters, and diseases. Natural disaster destroys crops and that crops are the alimentation and inversion of some families to get money and grow in an economic way.

The debts between countries only grows so the poor countries can’t affront it they don’t have a way so this makes that governments can’t invest more in education and health. Wars are the cause of lost money in a very bad way because weapons are only are create with the purpose of kill and the inversions in this is very high, weapons are extremely expensive.

The disease are another cause of poverty specially en Africa with the HIV so children losses their parents, so they don’t have a support that help them to study or prepare their self better. Overpopulation this is the most important in this moment because we(humans) continue expanding more and more and for different reasons like jobs weather etc we are use to overpopulate the same places and the resources of this places are finishing so now we can see people without jobs.

The solution for poverty are hard to develop but some of them are that governments present better programs of education and health, of course no wars at all, micro credits so in this way little by little middle economic people have a growth in an stable way in fact better inversion from the government. In summary poverty is like a chain.

Weapons

Weapons… what are weapons? well weapons are according to what I search: weapons are instruments with the purpose of hurt or exterminate something. There are people that said that weapons are not bad. They think that actually weapons aren’t bad the person who has a weapon is the bad one.

Well I disagree with that people because when the weapons are being created with the only purpose is to harm or kill, it doesn`t matter if it is in defense or attacking. So yes weapons are bad because cause pain is the only use that you can give to it.

Another definition to weapons is every advantage of any kind toward the enemy. Now at days there are all kinds of weapons. For example nuclear, biological, radiological, chemical, and atomic this ones are consider of mass destruction. These types can be considering the most divesting ones because if they are use in war, the damage cause will be immense.

There is something curious about weapons and is that they are always related with drugs, but why do arms and drugs related? I think that killing, selling something that kills, is easier when you are not totally conscious so people related to this trance use drugs to feel a little bit less guilty at that moment.

Weapons are something that cannot be ignore because the only use that you give to them is to hurt. Arms are inhuman and humans must think how to exterminate them even though they are very difficult wish.

Letter

Dear organizer:

my intension of this letter is to congratulate your excellent work organizing the “sello verde” . The Escats Band. It took place on January 21, 2011. I think that is excellent to support national talents like in this case Escats. I like that you never forget the music in the sellos verdes like in previous terms when you organized a concert of electric sounds again Escats and others.

Escats is a national music group but it’s also very good music they play romantic songs. I like that ulacit always invite them at list every two terms. This concert gives us the opportunity to support the national talent. This group had accumulated lots of experiences. I wish them the best. They sang almost all of their hits.

In summary, the concert was perfect in the synchronization, the audience, and the quality of band. I like how ULACIT support national talent in all kind of arts. So continue organizing like this.

Global warming

First of all we need to define what is global warming? Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the earth. Of course we are the guilty of this and global warming brings inconvenient effects for us.

We have to quote the causes of global warming to understand how it started. With this it will be easier to understand it growth. The major cause for me it will be the green house effect. The green house effect starts when the sun raises rich the earth and provide us heat.

But this heat have to go away, what happens with the green house effect is that thanks to the companies, cars, and all kinds of machines that release this gases: nitrous oxide, sulfur hexafluoride, hydro fluorocarbons, per fluorocarbons for example make that this heat never leave and stays at earth. So the earth continues and continues absorbing heat without releasing it.

The worst effect of global warming for me is the constant rise in the sea level per year in consequence to the ace melt on the poles. But this is not the only effect of global warming. In the camp of agriculture the intense heat can become the loss of crops, and this crop is our food. The effects are like a chain so if a link is broking all the chain loses its purpose.

Is urgent for our safety to star to use green products, use transportation that do not contaminate. Every problem has its solution, so we have to start to think in our future, the future of our sons, and the future of the earth. We need to act now that we still have time.

Human rights

The importance of the human rights is something that we never have to forget. The principles of the human rights are base on the respect for every human and to treat them all with dignity. Human rights are universal in other word they are apply every where there is a nation.

And it doesn’t matter the color or shape you are because we are all the same. To have human rights you only have to be alive. Rights can’t be negotiable for no one, this are a step that humanity must make to become a better world.

After the second world war In October, 24, 1945 the United Nations came into being as an intergovernmental organization were create with the purpose to treat everybody the same and for delete every possibility of another war in the future.

In the present the United Nations have create 6 bodies some of them are the General Assembly, the Security Council, the International Court of Justice, and in relation to human rights, an Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

I think they have to continue fighting for more equality and are perfect they support people with big needs. In summary this was the best solution that nations can invent to evade another war and promote respects and dignity to every human.
